Add light to a 3D Scene. ​

Description

The Light box adds a light to 3D nodes. The light may be either an omnidirectional point light or a directional light. The point light is best used for artificial light, while the directional light simulates sunray behavior. For both, Color, Orientation and Intensity may be sets dynamically.

Inputs

Color Float4 Receives the color of the light and overrides the Color parameter.
Direction Float3 Receives the direction of the light and overrides the Direction parameter.
Intensity Float Receives the global intensity factor of the light and overrides the Global Intensity parameter.
Node [N] Node Receives the nodes append as child nodes of the light node.
Position Float3 Receives the position of the light and overrides the Point parameter.

Outputs

Node Node Outputs the generated node containing the light as the root.

Parameters

General

Light

Name String Sets the name of the light.
Type String Sets the type of light used. The Point light is an omnidirectional light emitting for the specified position. The Directional light is a parallel light emitting toward the specified direction.
Position Toggle Enables the Input Pin Position.
Position Float3 Sets the position in the world of the point light.
Direction Toggle Enables the Input Pin Direction.
Direction Float3 Sets the direction in the world of the directional light.
Color
Color Toggle Enables the Input Pin Color.
Color Float4 Sets the Color of the light.
Global Intensity Toggle Enables the Input Pin Intensity and overrides the parameter Global Intensity.
Global Intensity Float Globally modulates the light intensity.
Ambient Intensity Float Sets the intensity of the light of the ambient component of the materials.
Diffuse Intensity Float Sets the intensity of the light of the diffuse component of the materials.
Specular Intensity Float Sets the intensity of the light of the specular component of the materials.
Distance Falloff
Attenuation Float3 Sets the attenuation with the Constant-Linear-Quadratic Distance. The formula is Attenuation = 1/(att.x + att.y * d + att.z * d*d).
Spot Falloff
Inner Cone Angle Float Angle, in radians, the fully illuminated inner cone of the spotlight.
Outer Cone Angle Float Angle, in radians, defining the outer edge of the outer cone of the spotlight.
Cone Falloff Float Decrease in illumination between a spotlight's inner cone and the outer edge of the outer cone. The effect is subtle.

Node

Number of Input Pins: Node Int Sets the number of Nodes Input Pins. All nodes are appended as a child node of the light node.
