Material Override

From RealMotion Wiki

3D/Material/Material Override

Overrides specific material in a 3D scene.

Description

The box Material Override replaces the specified material in a scene by another material.

The box Material Override searches the Material Name to Override in the inputted node hierarchy. The box changes the material found with the given material.

Every component of the material can be changed independently. For example, to change only the color of a model, override only the diffuse and ambient color. The Material box linked into the Material Override will then affect only the overridden components.

For more information about the material component, see the Material box.

Note: Knowing the name of the material present in the FBX is important in order to use the Material Override box. To help, RealMotion includes the Parse Model Info tool in the Model 3D box. The tool shows all presents Materialin an imported model. See the Model 3D box for more information.
